MANY friends and family of the teenager who lost his life in a recent crash on Forest Road are expected to pay their respects at his funeral this week.
Max Lewis, 19, was extremely popular in the town and huge numbers of people are expected to say goodbye at his funeral on Thursday 4th December at St Michael’s Church. The service will start at noon and will be followed by a burial ceremony at Holy Cross Church, Seend. After the ceremony, friends are invited to join the family at the Seend Social Club, Rusty lane, Seend, SN12 6NS, 1pm onwards.
The Seend teenager was passenger in the collision on Saturday 15th November that left his friend hospitalised. Since then two men, an 18-year-old and a 25-year-old from Melksham, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Following Max’s death, tributes have been paid at the location where he died including a candlelit vigil.
In a statement from the family they said, “We welcome family and close friends to join us for the burial ceremony, although please be aware that space may be a little limited and some may like to pay their respects at the graveside in the days to follow.
“Max was a beautiful young man who loved his clothes, so please feel free to join in with a sense of style – if you can!
“If you would like to bring a single flower to add to family flowers that would be lovely. We would also welcome any donations to either of the following:
