SPENCER Melksham Bowls Club is holding an Open Morning on Sunday 29th May from 10am to 1pm as part of Bowls England Big Weekend.
“If you think you would like to give Bowls a try, come on down!” said the club. “Just turn up wearing flat shoes.
“We are rounding off the day by holding a Jubilee Cream Tea for club members along with friends and families to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.
“On Monday 16 May, the club welcomed representatives from Specsavers to thank them for their continued support for the club. After a dull day, the sun shone in the evening and we were able to offer games across three rinks, with club members acting as mentors and opposition.
“Our visitors quickly picked up the techniques, and friendly, if competitive games were the order of the day. The rink continues to improve and is busy with competitions, friendlies and roll ups.”
