THE Great British Greyhound Walk in Lacock took place last weekend with 45 greyhounds attending with their owners.
It was the first time Ann and Steve Stanford had organised a GBGW event but they were both very pleased with how the day went.
Ann said, “We had a grand total of 45 greyhounds and six other breeds attend our Great British Greyhound Walk in Lacock, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect for hound walking!
“All that attended throughly enjoyed the get- together to raise awareness of this wonderful breed of dog. There were a record breaking 109 walks in the UK and 41 around the world!
“After the walk we handed out specially made medals in exchange for a donation and then some people stayed on to have a picnic opposite the Abbey. The day raised a grand total of £137.50. This is being divided between the GBGW charity and the RGT charity.”
