WILTSHIRE School of Gymnastics recently upgraded their lighting, reception area, and installed a new leotard shop as part of a series of improvements being made to the facility.
The renovations were made possible by a £15,000 grant issued by local charity Community First.
Operations manager at the gym, Sarah Calvert, (pictured) said, “It’s great to have been able to redecorate the reception and install better lighting throughout the building.
“It has really improved our image because the reception area is the first thing people see when they come through the door. We’ve repainted and installed a new monitor and till system; it’s so clean, uncluttered, and spacious now.
“The new LED lights have made a huge difference; especially in the gym. Before we were having to send people up to change bulbs all the time, but the new fittings are more cost effective and so much brighter.”
Local mother Sue Ellison said, “These improvements will reduce the running costs of the club, and with the sale of leotards in the new shop, bring in much needed funds to invest in equipment and coaches’ training.
“The club would like to thank everyone who gaveup time to assist in making the club a clean and bright place for all its gymnasts to train in. We would also like to thank SSE and Lloyds Bank employees who spared the time to do a great job redecorating the whole facility.”
Community First, who provided the grant, is a Wiltshire-based charity that aims to strengthen and grow communities, and tackle disadvantage across the county. Their staff provide technical advice, practical support and grant aid to promote local initiatives.
