A Melksham hair salon is celebrating 30 years in business.
Hairtek in Bank Street marked the milestone this month with owner Jeanette Boobyr saying she’s ‘proud and humbled’ to have reached the three-decade mark.
“Wow – 30 years and still going strong,” she said. “How time has flown by. I can still remember the very first day Hairtek opened the doors and I find it quite unbelievable at times.
“There have definitely been a lot of changes throughout the 30 years; not only with the salon but the town as well, but none more trying as when Covid hit which was hard and as a business, the uncertainty was quite daunting, but all came good and we are still going strong.
“I would like to say a massive thank you to the driving force, my team of girls – Kelly, Amy, Chris and Beth for their hard work, dedication to the job and utmost loyalty, not only to myself but their clients and it’s a pleasure working alongside you, so thank you.
“Thank you to all our customers for your loyalty, continued support and sharing this journey with us and wow, what a journey it’s been. I feel very humbled and quite privileged to still be trading after all these years. Thank you everyone, it means a lot.”
