Melksham Assembly Hall is a major social and recreational centre for the area.
Recognising its significance to Melksham, the town council, who own and manage the Hall, are developing a strategy for its use in years to come. Many opinions and thoughts about how the building can best be used have already been collected, and everyone’s views are being sought through a survey that is running until the end of February.
The survey asks for opinions on various aspects of the hall, from specific details such as seating and parking, and wider considerations of the purpose of the Hall for Melksham.
The survey is available online on Melksham Town Council’s website and on paper at Melksham Town Hall, Assembly Hall, Library and Sainsbury’s foyer.
The survey is open until Saturday 28th February and everyone who completes it is in with a chance to win two tickets to an event of their choice at Melksham Assembly Hall (subject to availability).
Melksham Assembly Hall is used as a private venue for parties and conferences, and also holds live events including comedy, music and dance, as well as the regular movies at Melksham on most Friday nights and Saturday mornings.
