THE Riverside Club is inviting Melksham residents to its Annual General Meeting (AGM), to be held at its venue on Thursday 23nd June at 7pm.
The club says, “As the Riverside is a focal point of Melksham, being in the town by the river and the supermarkets, many will see it, many will have hired it but many more may not know about it.
“The Riverside is a registered charity which means it is there as a non-profit making venue. Over the past two years work has been done to improve the facilities to make the hall an attractive venue for social events and meetings.
“The hall was built in 1970 as an establishment for older people, however in this current age discrimination is an important issue so the Riverside is available to ALL ages – evidenced by the number of children’s parties that have used the facilities, as well as the numerous older people’s events.
“For the Riverside to remain a valuable venue for the community to hire we would welcome as many as possible to attend our AGM on the 23nd and bring ideas with you for how the building or the hiring can continue to be ‘the best in Melksham’.”
