Everyone leads such busy lives. Yet Home-Start Kennet is asking if anyone, experienced from raising their own children, can find a couple of hours a week to visit and support local families who are struggling.
Your two hours could make the difference between just about coping and discovering the joys of parenting.
Trustee Sara Holden said, “Our volunteers come from all parts of the community, are men and women, and their ages range from 20s to 70s. Some are winding down after busy lives at work or with their own families. Others are gearing up and hope to use their experience to start a new career.
“We have been established in Kennet for 27 years and currently have BIG Lottery funding. We are hoping to expand into West Wiltshire through our new funding bids. We are eager to meet local people who will enjoy the satisfaction and challenge of working with a young family and help them to give their children the best childhood possible.
“You’ll get training, and professional support. For those who wish, there is the opportunity of national accreditation.
