LOCAL charity Dorothy House Hospice Care, is asking residents to join in with an icy plunge next month.
The Ice Bath Challenge will take place on Friday 2nd February at Glove Factory Studios in Holt at 6pm, to raise funds for the charity.
There will be a one-hour breathing session led by a certified Wim Hof Instructor, guiding participants through the Wim Hof method to prepare you for the challenge (a type of breathing technique for submerging into cold water); you will then submerge in the ice bath for two minutes.
Dorothy House fund-raiser, Tracey Hyde said, “I will also be taking part in this challenge for the first time ever. I am really looking forward to it but it’s going to be cold!”
It costs £30 to enter with participants being asked to raise a minimum of £200; for more information visit the Dorothy House website, https://www.dorothyhouse.org.uk
