A BATON twirling team in Melksham is looking for new recruits for the new year and will be welcoming joiners until the end of the month.
Enigma Twirl Team, which trains at The Manor School on Thursdays, is open to boys and girls aged four and up, and is particularly looking for people to join its juvenile and junior teams, aged between seven and 15.
Troupe leader Tanya Denning-Kuijper said, “Young people who join now will be considered for the competition and display teams, and we won’t be accepting any more new members until June, when it will be carnival season!
“The sport encourages individuals not only to work as a team but to also push themselves as individuals. They gain confidence, keep fit, build flexibility, understand discipline, and build many wonderful memories along the way.
“Enigma uses aspects of dance, gymnastics, twirling, pom and military disciplines.”
Anyone interested in joining is welcome to try a free first session.
