Working in conjunction with ActiveTrowbridge, Melksham Town Council has arranged a three hour sports roadshow for children every Tuesday over the summer holidays.
Featuring an inflatable and a range of sporting activities under the active supervision of qualified sports coaches, the roadshows will take place from 11.00am until 2.00pm every Tuesday from 29th July in King George V Park. And it’s all free! There’s no need to book, just turn up and enjoy the activities, although ‘under 8s’ will need parental supervision.
Deputy town clerk Miriam Zaccarelli, who has been instrumental in arranging the roadshows said, “We hope as many people as possible will come along, let their children enjoy the roadshow, bring a picnic and enjoy the recreational facility that the park offers.
“The sports roadshow initiative fits with the town council’s desire to provide social and recreational activities and events for the community to enjoy, promoting fun active outdoor activities for children supporting families, encouraging exercise and providing recreational activities for young people.”
