AVON Bowls Club has organised a Krafty Kitchen Sale for Tuesday 13th June where buyers will be able to purchase a selection of nearly new utensils, books, handicrafts at prices that will ‘astound’ customers!
“The event is at the Avon Bowls Club in the grounds of Melksham House from 2pm,” said Pauline Baker, the club’s publicity officer.
“Refreshments will be on sale and to add to the enjoyment, there will be a ladies’ friendly match taking place which visitors will be able to enjoy watching.
“Visitors can take the opportunity of ‘having a go’ at something which has in the past been described as ‘an old man’s game’. Just bring a pair of flat-soled shoes, and the club will do the rest. You may surprise yourself at how much you enjoy it.
“The sale will continue until everything has been sold plus a chance to bowl, so in other words, ‘Two ‘till Late’!
“Should the weather be inclement, the sale will still take place, but the bowling opportunity may have to be postponed, so don’t let a drop of rain deter you from coming along. Members will be on hand to both sell the goods on offer, and help you understand the wonderful game of bowls, as well as serving refreshments.
