A Somerset-based couple are the proud owners of a new garden building after posting a successful bid in the recent Leekes silent charity auction. The winning bid of £2,122 will be donated to the company’s nominated charity, the NSPCC.
Silent auction winners, Andrew and Jane Simkins said, “When we saw the veranda summerhouse we loved it! It is a really attractive and beautifully constructed building and we have the perfect spot for it in our garden.
“We are regular shoppers at Leekes, a store we love as they always have something new to catch our eye – a great atmosphere and team. When we saw this building by Nordic Garden Buildings, and realised that the proceeds of our bid would also help with the excellent work of the NSPCC, we were keen to enter and are delighted to have been the lucky winners.”
Speaking about the auction, Frank Richardson, sales manager at Leekes Melksham said, “We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part. The generosity of the local community has been overwhelming and we received a number of high value offers from our customers. We are delighted that the winning bid has helped to provide additional funds for our nominated charity, the NSPCC.”
Offering additional space, and available in a range of styles, sizes and colours, a garden building gives an option to help you enjoy your garden all year round.
Leekes Retail & Leisure Group are committed to supporting the NSPCC and in the five years since the NSPCC became the company’s nominated charity have raised over £150,000 to help maintain their service provision for children.
