Two cheques of £1,000 each were presented to Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Freewheelers (Blood Bikes) by the Melksham Lions Club on Monday 12th June.
“To say that the people of Melksham are amazing is a bit of an understatement,” said Melksham Lions Club. “Thanks to your fantastic response and that of our sponsors, we were able to present cheques to Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Freewheelers (Blood Bikes).
“There to receive the cheques were Allen Brewer from Freewheelers who brought his motorbike to show us but left early as he had just ended a very long shift.
“Paula and Roy Whiting received the cheque on behalf of Wiltshire Air Ambulance and stayed for the rest of the meeting which, with the Lions’ zone chairperson in attendance, was very productive with much future planning discussed, so look out for us at events throughout the summer with our shiny new Lions gazebo!
