Organisers of The Glitter Charity Ball for the Helping Harry fund, have confirmed the evening’s exciting line up of live music.
The charity ball will take place at Melksham Assembly Hall on Saturday 19th March and promises to be a great night for all.
Family and friends of three-year-old Harry Kirkman are trying to raise £60,000 so that he can go to America for a potentially life-changing operation.
Harry has cerebral palsy which affects all of his limbs, making it very hard to balance. So far they have raised nearly £35,000 and have many fundraisers and events planned for the next few months.
Bruce Burry who is helping to organise the event said, “We have booked three bands for the night; The Wafflers who are a fantastic local band from Broughton Gifford, Steve Black a brilliant Tom Jones tribute act, and the best Pink tribute act around from X Factor’s very own Zoe Alexander. Also on the night Apollo Disco with me as compere. Harry’s aunt and uncle will be, very bravely, shaving their heads on the night to raise a little more money.
“It’s going to be a great night for a great local cause and I hope everyone supports it and comes along.”
Harry’s mum Charlotte Deegan said, “Preparations are well under way and tickets are selling well. If you can’t come along on the night, why not donate a raffle prize? We would really appreciate any help and we can come and collect.”
Tickets cost £10 available from Charlotte Deegan 07909 441808 or Zoe Britton 07775 959780 or collect from Melksham Assembly Hall. Tickets can also be brought on the night (subject to availability).
