OVER £2,500 has been raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care from the Great Daffodil Campaign collection in Melksham.
£2,657 was raised by collectors in the town for the charity which helps people living with any terminal illness, and their families.
Melksham organiser, Peter Colegate said, “I would like to thank all those volunteers who braved the cold and wet to collect such a magnificent sum. I would also like to thank Sainsbury’s, Leekes and Lidl for allowing us to collect at their stores.
“Finally I would like to thank all those who contributed so generously to provide home nursing care for those suffering with terminal cancer.”
