LOCAL blackball player, Scott Lloyd, has been crowned the Specials National Singles Champion.
Scott won the trophy at the championship held earlier this month.
Shortly after winning the title, he said, “After a couple of days letting it sink in, I can actually say I am proud of myself. Thank you to everyone that supports me, it is greatly appreciated.
“I am still looking for any businesses that would like to help me out with travel and accommodation costs via sponsorship.”
Scott is also the captain of the England Blackball Special Needs team. “We are off to Cyprus in November for the Nations Cup,” said Scott. “There is no funding in place, so we all have to pay our own way.”
