A WHITLEY schoolboy has designed his own range of t-shirts with a local twist, to help raise money for a big adventure next year in Morocco.
Twelve-year-old Evan Hall is raising £1,800 to fund his trip to Morocco, organised through the organisation, World Challenge, and The Corsham School, where he is a student.
To help raise the money, Evan, with the help of his parents and his brother Finn, has designed his own unique range of t-shirts, which have the names of villages and towns in the local area emblazoned across them. Designs include the slogans ‘Whitley till I die’, ‘Made in Melksham’ and ‘Because I’m Atworth it’.
So far the t-shirts have attracted a lot of interest on social media, and are selling well. Evan said, “This is really exciting, I liked the idea of having your local town or village on your own t-shirt, and its great to see people in the local area supporting my project.”
In keeping with the local theme of the designs, the t-shirts are printed locally in Bowerhill at Primate Clothing. “You can even choose local pick-up, and collect your t-shirt direct from the printers in Bowerhill,” explained Evan’s father Nathan Hall. “More designs will be coming soon, and Evan hopes to get out and about selling his t-shirts at local events this summer.
“If you would like to suggest a place name to include in the range, or want to find out more, you can email Evan at tshirt4 evan@icloud.com or make contact through twitter on @tshirt4evan.”
World Challenge expeditions inspire self-discovery, encouraging students to grow in confidence, build resilience and create lifelong friendships.
In Morocco, Evan will take part in many activities including expeditions in the Atlas Mountains, camping, cycling and exploring Marrakesh, learning more about local culture.
