Melksham Lions are pleased to announce that the Maesteg Choir are returning to delight Melksham once again, 2015 being their 21st year visiting the town.
The choir will be performing on Saturday 25th April at Melksham Assembly Hall, and this year they will be joined by their special guests, a young vocal group called Take Note, a mixed choir.
The Llynfi Valley in South Wales has a long tradition of male voice choirs and The Maesteg and District Male Voice Choir – Côr Meibion Maesteg a’r Cylch – is proud to uphold this tradition.
The choir has recently celebrated its 40th Annual Concert and is as busy as ever, continuing to raise a tremendous amount of money for charity, and giving immense pleasure to thousands of people in venues throughout the UK. It also has enjoyed sharing the stage with many professional artists in the Annual Concerts.
The choir’s music officers, Rhian Jenkins and Ryan Wood, have chosen a programme that they hope everyone will enjoy and are pleased to announce that their guest artists are Take Note – a Maesteg-based mixed choir.
The main aim of the choir is to concentrate on raising funds for charities, and over the past 40 years has helped raise hundreds of thousands of pounds, and hope to continue this for the next 40.
The concert on Saturday 25th April at Melksham Assembly Hall will commence at 7.00pm, tickets are £11.00 and available from: Melksham Tourist Information, Melksham Assembly Hall or any member of Melksham Lions. Any available tickets will also be sold on the evening of the event.
