NEW regular meditation and mindfulness classes are now running at Lowbourne Osteopaths on Tuesday evenings from 7.00pm-8.00pm.
Beth James, therapist and class leader said, “My classes are designed to produce maximum relaxation, as a great percentage of illness (physical and mental) is caused by stress. We generally begin by implementing mindfulness exercises which you can take away and use in day-to-day life to help with stress levels and improve concentration.
“We then go into a guided meditation which, if practiced regularly, helps with issues such as depression, high blood pressure, anxiety and sleep disorders. The classes do not require a faith in any religion, dogma or belief system.
“The first session is free so you can see if you are going to enjoy it. There is no chanting or any other participation required other than to lay down, listen and relax.”
