MELKSHAM author, Ted Taylor has had his book ‘Final Straw’ selected as a finalist in the category ‘Quality Reads UK – Best Book Ever.’
Readers can vote for their favourite book online at www.orangeberrybooktours.com/expo/2013/07/31/hall-of-fame-quality-reads-uk-best-book-ever/.
Voting takes place until Monday 2nd September and the winner is inducted into the Orangeberry Hall of Fame. So far ‘The Final Straw’ is placed second of the 10 finalists.
Currently Ted is winning by just a few votes. So every vote really does count. Ted has also been invited to join a virtual book tour throughout July and August with Orangeberry Book Tours.
This involves him submitting answers to a series of questions relating to himself and his family, his writing career, ambitions, favourite authors and more. These were then used in author interviews on literary blog sites in the States and the UK.
He also had to provide half a dozen articles of 500 to 1,000 words on subjects relating to writing and publishing so that these could be used on similar sites where a blogger used the article as a guest post.
Ted said, “The most challenging aspect was a ‘live’ question and answer session on Twitter! Totally random questions were fired at me every ten minutes or so for about four hours and I had to get my answers down in 140 characters or less in no time.”
‘The Final Straw’ is still on the tour throughout August online at the Orangeberry book expo.
