In a last minute change to our advertised talk due to illness, the Melksham Gardeners’ Society held a talk on ‘Roses’ by the esteemed Ray Broughton, at the Rachel Fowler Centre on January 28th.
The society reports, “Ray was extremely kind and agreed to swap his talk from February to January, with less than 24 hours’ notice! He gave us another wonderfully animated talk about how to grow the best roses along with some suggested specimens, and a question and answer session. His tips and tricks constantly amaze and we always leave knowing just that little bit more than when we arrived – thanks again for stepping into the breach; and we wish a speedy recovery for Tom.
“Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 27th February at the Rachel Fowler Centre at 7.30pm with our (hopefully recovered) guest speaker, Tom Hartley, with his talk on “What Lives Beneath?” If this changes, we will advise ASAP.”
New members and guests are always welcome. Door entry is £1 for members, £2 for guests and annual membership is £10.
