Melksham Historical Association looks back at history of Victorian school

THE February meeting of Melksham & District Historical Association was entitled Sevington Victorian School – the history and present day – presented by Dinah Starkey and Celia Jennings, both in Victorian dress.

Everybody enjoyed the evening and now look forward to visiting the school in the summer. A vote of thanks was given by our chairman Mrs Cathy Berry followed by coffee and biscuits. The next meeting on Thursday 20th March is entitled ‘Looking at Gloucester Street Art’ an evening of slides showing buildings, monuments and plaques presented by Mrs Jenny Williams in preparation for our outing in July.
