TWO Melksham men remain under investigation following their arrest after Class A and B drugs were recovered during a police sting which targeted local drug lines.
Also, an 18-year-old man known locally on social media as ‘The Ninja’ was found in possession of criminal property by Melksham CID during Operation Scorpion, while carrying out house-to-house enquiries for another matter.
A police spokesperson said, “He was stopped, and his e-scooter was seized. He remains under investigation for several matters and we’re glad to have removed the risk of him being involved in a collision.”
A total of six arrests were made during the operation, where officers also seized a neglected dog and reported the matter to the RSPCA for further action.
Officers will attend the next Melksham East residents’ meeting during the first week of August, to discuss anti-social behaviour, which has been raised by town councillors.
The police spokesperson continued, “It would be helpful to have any questions submitted in advance, to give us a fair chance to complete the appropriate research into the questions, ahead of the meeting. It’ll enable more productive conversations during the meeting.”
