MELKSHAM Messy Church welcomed more than 60 children and parents to its second event last Sunday (24th September) at Forest and Sandridge School.
Exploring the theme of harvest, the children took part in apple bobbing, vegetable modelling, potato printing, made vine bookmarks and decorated a large cake which was eaten for dessert. After the crafts, there was singing, group worship and the afternoon ended with a meal. Melksham Messy Church was started in July as a joint venture organised by the Melksham Family of Churches as a new church that uses play and craft activities to engage children and their families with their faith in a fun and informal way.
Held on the fourth Sunday of each month at Forest and Sandridge School, the next event will be on Sunday 22nd October 4-5.30pm. For more details please visit their page on Facebook or email hannah tarring.cfm@outlook.com.
