Following the huge success of their 50th Anniversary Trade Show on June 14th, Melksham Motor Spares have been distributing the money raised from the charity raffle held at the event.
The raffle raised a staggering £5,800 and the grand total was then increased to £7,500 by a £1,700 donation from the company.
Staff were asked to nominate their favourite charities and a total of 15 charities benefited from the money raised, each receiving £500. The 15 charities were; Cancer Research UK, Julia’s House Children’s Hospice, Wiltshire Air Ambulance, Wiltshire Mind, Dorothy House, Alzheimer’s Society, Sane, Sands, British Heart Foundation, MS Society, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Ben Automotive Charity, Diabetes UK, JDRF and HemiHelp.
Alison Cook, financial director said, “We cannot thank our brilliant customers enough for their amazing support of the raffle. We were overwhelmed by their generosity and thrilled to have raised such a fantastic amount for so many worthy causes.”
The company, who are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, are continuing their fundraising efforts throughout 2018, raising money for Cancer Research UK. Their most recent efforts raising £900 following a charity cycle ride around Castle Combe Race Circuit involving staff and their families and friends, brought the total raised for CRUK so far this year to over £3,500.
