MELKSHAM News is now available on the radio after teaming up with Melksham Town Sound.
The news is now broadcast on the online radio station between Monday-Friday when presenters are live on air. The Melksham News has its own jingle and will have 60 second time slots where local news will be broadcast.
Owner of Melksham Town Sound, Will Bridger said, “It’s great to now have the news on our radio station and we are grateful to Melksham News for providing the material for us to relay to our listeners. We considered using national news but felt local news is more appropriate on a radio station designed and created for the people of Melksham.
“This is all part of us becoming a more rounded radio station with a better service for the listener. Currently we will broadcast the news about three times a day during the week and are close to increasing this further and maybe even having broadcast interviews related to the news.
“It is exciting times for us with lots going on as we are moving into a new studio soon and looking into attaining a restricted service licence (RSL) which would allow us to have a FM channel.
“As part of this development we are looking for new presenters and encourage anyone to get in touch who wants to give it a try.”
