The Rotary Club of Melksham are donating £1,000 to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance out of the July profits of the Art House Café, and are arranging an official presentation in September.
The club are also responding to an appeal from the Melksham Food Bank, with a donation of £250 to help provide extra food at Christmas and a further £250 to provide shelving in their new storage facility at Melksham Baptist Church.
Plans are now going ahead for the club’s participation in the Melksham Food and Drink Festival with a Rotary Food Quiz on 11th September at the Pilot in Bowerhill in aid of Dorothy House. Please contact Bruce on 07706 099365 to book your team entry of four at £2.50 per person.
On Sunday 15th September there will be a Big Breakfast at the Art House Cafe and the club are very appreciative of the excellent sponsorship by Waitrose.
The Rotary Club are playing an increasing part in supporting activities in the community, but this is dependent on the continuing support from the community. Volunteers are always needed at the AHC, plus support for the club’s fund-raising activities.
