JUST before Christmas, the people of Melksham once again demonstrated just how generous they are.
Phil Stone of Melksham Rugby Club contacted Melksham Foodbank to say that the rugby club had been running a ‘food drive’ on behalf of the foodbank.
They brought a wide selection of food donated by rugby club members to the foodbank stores. Robin and Sue Henderson from the foodbank were thrilled with the donation, and on behalf of the foodbank asked Phil Stone to thank all concerned in the collection. As part of the same drive, the rugby club members also collected toys and items of clothing. These were presented to Alabaré, a Trowbridge based charity working with homeless people.
