Melksham Swordfish Swimming Club held its presentation night at the conservative club, celebrating the achievements of the swimmers and club over the past 12 months.
The main part of the evening was presenting medals and trophies to the swimmers who competed at the club championships in October, but also special awards were presented, which ranged from swimmers in the senior squad down to the club’s very successful ‘Teach To Swim’ section.
The winners of the special awards were as follows:
Boy Learner – Ashley Bailey • Girl Learner – Sadie Behave • Boy Teach to Swim – Josh Wiltshire • Girl Teach to Swim – Cady Utting • Male Junior Swimmer of the Year – Rory Howorth • Female Junior Swimming of the Year – Faye Johnson • Male Senior Swimmer of the Year – Charlie Dodge • Female Junior Swimming of the Year – Charlotte Oddy • Swimmer of the Year – Jenny Bond • Phil Threlfall award – Rob Bridges.
With the promise of a new pool at the new campus there are exciting times ahead at Melksham Swordfish, who are celebrating their 55th year in 2014.
