FOREST and Sandridge School is saying goodbye to three members of their teaching team who together have served the school for 72 years.
The school has organised afternoon cream teas on Friday 18th July between 4-6pm to celebrate the service of Anthea Courage who has been at the school since 1997, Carol Fountain since 1988 and Sue Parselle since 1985. They are all to leave at the end of the term and former pupils are invited to attend to say farewell.
Anyone interested in joining in the event should advise the school in advance by emailing FSRetirementParty@outlook.com with their name.
The school has also started collections for each of the three departing members of staff. If anyone would like to contribute towards a retirement gift for any of them, then send your contribution in a sealed envelope to the admin office with your details clearly marked so that the school can ask you to sign their leaving cards.
Ali Moon from Forest and Sandridge School said, “It is the end of another fun and exciting year at Forest and Sandridge, but sadly, at the end of this one, we will be saying goodbye to three members of staff who are retiring after collectively working at this school for nearly 72 years.
“We are really sorry to see them go; they are greatly loved members of staff and will be a huge loss to our school. I hope many people will be able to pop along to say a cheery goodbye and happy retirement to Mrs Courage, Mrs Fountain and Mrs Parselle.”
