The two meetings will be held, in sequence, on Monday evening, the first beginning promptly at 7pm. The first meeting is that of the Economic Development and Planning Committee and is expected to be of short duration. The second meeting is that of the Annual Meeting of the Full Council will begin on the rising of the first meeting.
In another first, the meetings will be live streamed onto Melksham Town Council’s YouTube channel, so that proceedings can be viewed after the event.
The Town Clerk, Linda Roberts said: “whilst current COVID-19 restrictions mean that we have to change the way we operate, we hope that videoing and live streaming council meetings in this manner will make them more accessible to the people of our town and increase interest in and awareness of local governance.”
