Melksham Town Football Club has announced a special initiative to thank parents and guardians involved in the club’s youth set-up, offering free season tickets for the remainder of the current campaign.
The offer, open to all parents and guardians of players registered with Melksham Town Youth FC, will allow free entry to all remaining home league matches until the end of the season, excluding cup fixtures.
Club officials say the move is designed to recognise the vital role families play in grassroots football and to further strengthen the bond between the youth section and the senior club.
Season tickets will be available for collection at Melksham Town’s home game on Saturday 17th January, with parents and guardians invited to attend the SkyBar from 1pm. The afternoon will also feature a short presentation marking the launch of Project 150, the club’s latest fundraising drive aimed at securing the final funding needed to install a 3G pitch at the ground.
Youth Chairman, Adam Young highlighted the increasing importance of the proposed 3G surface, particularly following recent winter weather disruptions that have led to lost training opportunities for players across the club.
“This is about welcoming families further into the Melksham Town FC community,” he said. “We want parents to enjoy matchdays, support the team and experience the atmosphere that makes the club such a special place. We all wear the same kit so it’s important that we get everyone involved. We are also going to do a drive to encourage all of the local primary schools to attend. One day it could be them playing on the pitch in Yellow”
Melksham Town FC hopes the initiative will encourage stronger connections between supporters, players and volunteers, while helping drive momentum behind Project 150 and the club’s long-term facilities plans.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend the match, collect their tickets and find out more about the future of the club on and off the pitch.
