THERE is a councillor vacancy at Melksham Without Parish Council for the Bowerhill Ward, following the resignation of Cllr Andy Russell.
An election will be held if 10 electors from the Bowerhill Ward request an election by Friday 17th May. If not, the parish council will fill the vacancy by co-option and will be seeking candidates to put themselves forward, confirming their eligibility and saying a few words about themselves.
Any requests for an election must be returned to the Returning Officer at Wiltshire Council: Terence Herbert, Returning Officer, Electoral Services, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8JN.
