MANOR School pupils celebrated their hard work by hosting a ‘world in 80 days event.’
The event was known as maths day and involved the classes acting as travel agents as the school was transformed into an airport. Each class travelled to the different areas of the school to ensure that their luggage was the correct weight, that there were enough seats on the plane; they checked flight times and finally they worked with the local travel agent Ian Mccaughan from Travel Angels to check they had the correct money.
Emma Shires from The Manor School said, “The children loved the day and learned to use a vast variety of maths skills that would be used in real life situations.”
