Wiltshire Mind is a mental health charity based in Melksham which offers a counselling service and runs nine support groups across the county.
Chief executive at Wiltshire Mind, Carolyn Beale said, “We are now also offering Mental Health Awareness Training to local organisations and businesses. £26 billion is lost to the economy through staff time off linked to mental health issues.
“Wiltshire Mind has developed training for organisations and businesses to give an overview of the most common mental health conditions – how to recognise them and how to deal appropriately and effectively with someone suffering from mental health issues.
“The training can be used to increase awareness and understanding of mental health and can be delivered to managers and staff. We can also provide the training for staff in customer facing roles who may need specific guidance on dealing with people who have a mental health condition. The training can be tailored to meet your specific needs and take into account any company policies and procedures.
“All money raised from providing this training goes to help those suffering with mental health issues in Wiltshire.
