Melksham Messy Church started preparing for Christmas early at Forest and Sandridge School on 26th November.
46 children and their families came along to the free session for a range of Christmas-themed craft activities and worship. They printed wrapping paper, made Nativity collages, made Christmas cards, decorated angel biscuits and made glittery decorations for the Christmas tree.
The crafts were followed by singing, worship and a talk about the very first Christmas. The session finished with a meal and mince pies.
Hannah Tarring, Messy Church regional coordinator for Wiltshire said, “Although fewer families than usual came due to other Christmassy events happening in the local area, it was a real blessing to have the opportunity to spend more time chatting to and getting to know our Messy congregation.
“We wish everyone in Melksham a very Messy Christmas!”
Usually held on the fourth Sunday of the month, there will be no Melksham Messy Church in December, but it will be returning in January on Sunday 28th at Forest and Sandridge School at 4pm-5.30pm.
