STAFF from the Melksham branch of Coventry Building Society have handed over a cheque for £1,000 to Dorothy House after they completed the Midnight Walk.
Natasha Wood, Jenny Kettle and Lucy Fleming completed the Bath Midnight Walk earlier this year, while Rob Broomfield also helped at the event as a marshall. They raised sponsorship from friends, family and customers of the branch and also held cake sales. Their efforts were also match- funded by the Coventry Building Society to bring the total to £1,000.
Natasha Wood said, “We are really pleased to raise as much as we did and we are really grateful to those that helped us reach £1,000.
“Dorothy House is a great cause whom we have supported for the last 18 months and we will continue to do so. We are planning to hold a Christmas raffle as our next fundraiser.”
The staff members handed the cheque over to Phillipa Watson from Dorothy House. She said, “It is great that they have been able to raise so much and they have been great supporters for us having raised £2,600 in the past 18 months. Their efforts have also rubbed off on to others too, as the Bath branch has also adopted us as their charity.”
