CHILDREN at Sunflowers pre-school were given a unique experience to get close to animals as a mobile farm visited the school.
The mobile farm run by Bowerhill man, David Buscombe, which includes sheep, goats, rabbits, ducks, a miniature horse and an alpaca plus more, visits local schools, homes for elderly people and community events, giving a chance to see the animals up close and pet them. Sunflowers pre-school said, “It has been a great day and the children have loved it. It is amazing how many children have never seen an animal up close, so it helps make it seem real and aids their learning.”
David Buscombe from the mobile farm said, “We are a new business but we have found that the animals are very popular wherever we go. They are really friendly and are used to being around adults and children. We have a rare breed of sheep, a pigmy goat, rabbits, ducks a miniature horse and Clive the alpaca.”
