THE autumn season began with a good turnout for the ‘Educating Rita’ film; again we had a bit of a setback for the DVD player linked to the projector kept playing up and we were not able to see the last half hour of the film.
We shall therefore be showing the last part of ‘Educating Rita’ prior to the film show on the 14th October, when we shall also be showing “The Great Caruso” starring Mario Lanza.
On the afternoon of the 9th October at 2.00pm for 2.30pm there will be a Special meeting of the Melksham Area Board at the United Reform Church. This is the annual occasion when older people in the community have the chance during the day to meet members of the Board to discuss items of common interest. Please do come along and participate in our own local democratic processes and also meet all your local Councillors.
