The Live at Shaw concert series continues this month with an evening of Movie Classics performed by the Bratton Brass Band.
The event will take place on Saturday 22nd November in Shaw Church and promises a lively programme featuring popular well-known film themes.
“The concert is not to be missed!” said one of the organisers Dianne Briggs. “Join us for an evening of Movie Classics presented by the 30-strong Bratton Brass Band. From The Magnificent Seven to Ghostbusters, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
“As usual refreshments and homemade cakes will be available during the interval. Although there is no charge for these, should you wish to make a donation, the proceeds will go to MND, one of the charities the Parish is supporting this year. Hope to see you all there!”
Tickets cost £10 per person and are available from Spindles in Whitley or can be reserved by emailing aswparish@gmail.com.
“Our October concert was a huge success with over 90 people enjoying the evening,” added Dianne.
This is the last concert of 2025, but everyone is invited to a Community Carols Concert on Saturday 21st December at 4pm in Shaw Church. Entry is free and refreshments will be served at the end.
