This month’s music night at The Pilot will take place on Wednesday 17th May, with Open Mic sessions from 8pm and headline act Heather Kerr from around 9.30pm.
The organisers say, “Heather is 18 and currently a student at Melksham Oak school. She has a place at BIM, Bristol, from September, so will be continuing her musical interests at a seriously high level. She plays keyboard and guitar, as well as writing and recording her own material. She will perform a range of originals and covers on the night.
“June’s headline act will be 13 year-old Melissa Gould, who, we hope, will be promoting her debut album.
“Please note there will be no Music Nights in July and August since our performers are booked for various local school and village fetes, and also for Melksham’s Party In The Park. We will resume in September.
“The Pilot has a good range of affordable food available until 8.30pm, so make sure you arrive in good time to get a table (you can book in advance). Please remember that this is a public house (so you are expected to buy drinks!) and a music venue (so we do appreciate minimum chat and use of mobiles during performances). Entry is free and the Open Mic starts at 8pm.
“Do advertise the event on your Facebook page and/or download a poster and display it at work, school, college etc.”
