Two more acts have been booked for this year’s Party in the Park. To open the day’s entertainment will be Kirsty Clinch a singer/songwriter from Wiltshire with country, pop and folk influences.
Bruce Bury of the Party in the Park says, “Described as having the voice of an angel and unique guitar playing skills, her aim is to “touch the hearts of many” with her music. Her musical influences include Ed Sheeran (a fellow redhead) Newton Faulkner (another fellow redhead) Joni Mitchell and Eva Cassidy.
“Kirsty has also taken her music overseas and preformed in Greece and Nashville.
“Also on the bill this year are The Lightnin’ Hobos, a popular blues/ rock band from Chippenham who will be playing original songs among well known covers.
“Stalls are now available to hire at reasonable rates and offers a great opportunity to promote goods and services, as well as free stalls on the day for local clubs, schools and charities’. For more information on how to book a stall contact Anne Marie at ambpitp@hotmail.co.uk or call 07788 400025.
“Admission to Party in the Park this year is £6 (16 years and over); half price £3 (11 to 15 years) and free to under 11s. If you wish to go to a circus show you will need a ticket. These can be obtained in advance or on the day, subject to availability, as we have just 2,400 circus tickets available.
“Circus tickets are complementary but in order to obtain them, the PITP admission price needs to be paid at the point of purchase. Get your tickets in advance so you can choose your performance times without the hassle of queueing on the day!
“You can, of course, pay at the gates on the day to go to PITP to enjoy the great music line-up and other side attractions and if you then want to go to the circus, it will be a case of taking a chance with what’s left, if any, of the circus tickets.
“Advance tickets for the circus performances to be held in the area are now on sale from Melksham News, Kingstons Estate Agents, Cobblers Bench and Autoline Service Station, Spa Road or by post contact melkshamparty@ gmail.com. There will be a 60p charge for p&p.
“Circus performance times are 2pm, 3.15pm, 5pm and 6.15pm.”
