The inaugural meeting of the new Christie Miller (Melksham) Indoor Bowls Club was held at Christie Miller recently.
A new unified management committee structure was elected with President Mr Dennis Richman and Vice-President Mrs Marcia Cottle. In past years, four different clubs/leagues played throughout the winter weeks, each having their own constitutions and rules, resulting in a variety of committees, funding and playing conditions. All other indoor clubs within the country have a unified organisation with one constitution and one set of rules. This unified approach was also introduced in preparation for representing indoor bowls in the new Melksham Campus currently under development.
