THE AFC Melksham Ability Counts football club is on the lookout for a new coach and is inviting new players to join them.
The football team, for players with learning and physical disabilities, has been playing in the town since it was formed in 2013. There are two teams – an under 16s team and an adults team.
The club is appealing for coaching support on Wednesday evenings. They say, “If you have some free time on a Wednesday evening, we would love your help, no matter the experience. We can help with the qualifications and DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service). If you are interested, please contact Mike Rogers by phone: 07578 335161; or by email: rogersafc@mail.com.”
New players are also welcome at AFC Melksham Ability Counts. They say, “Are you 11-15 years old and looking to play football for your local football club? We at AFC Melksham are looking for boys and girls to join the team.
“Summer training is from May to September outside at Bowerhill Queen Elizabeth playing fields, Wednesdays 5.30pm to 6.30pm. We also train indoors in the winter at Melksham Oak School’s gym, 5pm to 6pm.
“We also have an over 16s/adult team too, so if you would be interested in joining them please, give us a call. If interested please contact Mike Rogers by phone: 07578 335161; or email: rogersafc@mail.com or Claire Hanks by phone: 07368 985236 or email: claire.hanks75@aol.com.”
