A NEW councillor for the Berryfield Ward at Melksham Without Parish Council is looking to benefit the wider community in both his personal, professional and now political life.
Due to the resignation of cllr Steve Petty earlier this year, a vacancy became available in the Berryfield Ward where Daniel Barber has been co-opted to fill the space. His co-option was made official during a meeting on Monday 18th June.
Ex-military officer, Daniel has lived and worked in Wiltshire since June 2012. He left the forces in October 2017 and started his own marketing company, supporting local and independent businesses.
Daniel said, “I wanted to become a councillor because I am already trying to achieve lots to benefit the wider community in my personal and professional life and now I can do that politically as well.”
