St. George’s Primary School in Semington has welcome Gordon Campbell as its new headteacher.
The 42-year-old father of two started at St George’s School on Monday 6th January. Gordon Campbell, who lives in Bath, has taught in schools across Wiltshire, including Trowbridge and Bradford on Avon for 15 years, before taking on his first full-time headship in Semington.
He said, “I can already say with some confidence that the school is blessed with a great staff team who have the interests of the children as their first priority. It is a pleasure to be part of the community and I look forward to developing relationships with you all to the benefit of our children and the community as a whole.
“Many of you will be familiar with the story of “The Good Samaritan”. Jesus told this story in response to the question “Who is my neighbour?” I have been the neighbour this week and I have met many Good Samaritans helping me to settle into the school community and to become familiar with how the school works and its policies and procedures.”
