MELKSHAM Lions has appointed Jim Whyborn as their new president for the next two years.
Lion Jim takes over the role from Keith Mead.
The handover took place at an event last month to mark the start of a new year for the local club.
Other changes were also acknowledged at the event. Club secretary, Sue Whyborn reports, “Two of our members, Lion John Pritchard and Lion Cliff Terrell who retired after giving many years to Lions, were presented with a gift, and not forgetting their wives, who gave many hours of support and help, who were presented with flowers. Lion Keith and Ruth are having a break from Lions, hopefully for not too long!
