LOCAL community groups will have the opportunity to learn skills and network with other groups as part of the new ‘Community Groups Network’.
The initiative, which has been set up by Melksham Town Council, will launch next month with an online meeting, featuring a presentation by a business consultant. Meetings will be quarterly and topics covered could include fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and promotion. The ‘Community Groups Network’ will also be an opportunity for groups to “befriend” each other, and share information and best practice.
It is hoped that the ‘Community Groups Network’ will have meetings in-person when it is permitted and feasible in a safe manner.
The success of the new initiative will be monitored to explore if something similar would benefit Melksham’s business sector.
