Do you know a young person who has done something special or achieved something amazing? If so, you can nominate them for the 2016 Melksham Young People Awards!
This year’s awards, organised by local youth work charity Young Melksham, are being held on Friday 25th November and nominations are now open.
Town councillor and chair of Young Melksham, Jon Hubbard said, “The awards provide a great opportunity to celebrate and recognise some of the spectacular young people that we have living in the Melksham area.
“They don’t need to have won the X-Factor or passed every exam you can think of (although that would be amazing); we are looking for young people who have achieved a personal target, or done something special for someone else.
“We welcome all nominations and we want to celebrate all of the things young people in our community have done, so please send in your nomination now.”
There are a number of categories for which a young person or team can be nominated: • Young Achiever • Young Carer • Volunteering • Young Leader • Sporting Individual • Sporting Team • Young Voice • School Council • Young Individual Arts • Young Team Arts.
